Welcome to Avon Motor Company. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and your purchase of vehicles from us, whether online or in person.

By using our website or purchasing a vehicle, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Vehicle Information and Descriptions

All vehicles listed on our website or displayed at our premises are described to the best of our knowledge. We make every effort to ensure all information (including specifications, mileage, age, and condition) is accurate, but minor errors may occasionally occur.
We recommend inspecting vehicles in person before purchase and asking for a copy of the service history and MOT documentation.

3. Pricing and Payment

  • All prices include VAT (if applicable) and are displayed in GBP.
  • Payments can be made via bank transfer, debit/credit card, or approved finance agreements.
  • A deposit may be required to secure a vehicle. Deposits are usually non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4. Consumer Rights - Faulty or Misdescribed Vehicles

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if a vehicle is found to be faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose, you have the right to:

  • Reject the vehicle within 30 days for a full refund.
  • After 30 days (but within 6 months), request a repair or replacement.
  • If repair or replacement fails, you may be entitled to a price reduction or full/partial refund.

This does not apply to faults caused by wear and tear or misuse.

5. Returns - Cancellations - Distance Sales

If you purchase a vehicle entirely online or over the phone, you are protected under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

  • You have 14 calendar days from the date of delivery to cancel the contract and receive a full refund.
  • You must notify us in writing if you wish to cancel.
  • You are responsible for the return of the vehicle in the condition it was received.
  • Reasonable usage charges may apply.

Exclusions: If you visit our premises before agreeing to buy, the 14-day cancellation right may not apply.

6. Vehicle Collection and Delivery

  • Vehicles can be collected from our dealership or delivered to your address (delivery fees may apply).
  • You are responsible for checking the vehicle upon receipt. Any issues should be reported immediately.

7. Warranties

All retail vehicles come with a minimum 3-month warranty (unless otherwise stated), covering major mechanical faults. Extended warranties may be available at additional cost.

Warranties do not cover wear-and-tear items such as tyres, brakes, or clutches unless specifically included.

8. Part Exchange

If you are trading in a vehicle as part of your purchase:

  • You confirm that you are the legal owner of the vehicle and that it is free of finance (unless declared).
  • Any valuation is subject to physical inspection and road test.
  • We reserve the right to adjust the part exchange valuation if the vehicle's condition or history is not as described.

9. Finance Agreements

Finance is offered through authorised lenders, subject to status. Terms and conditions apply. Avon Motor Company is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

We aim to resolve complaints within 14 days. If you remain dissatisfied, you may contact the Motor Ombudsman or Citizens Advice Consumer Service.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
